California Dreaming

After experiencing another overnight train ride we arrived in Sacramento and spent a couple of days with Kerri’s sister Katherine and her husband Stan. Rick celebrated his 62nd birthday with steaks and a nice zin.

Then to San Francisco to meet up with Rick’s cousin Jerry and his partner Warner. (No lie, three of four of us were Warners!) Rick hadn’t seen Jerry for over 50 years! Views of the GG bridge, always a SF highlight.

Leaving Jerry and Warner we headed across the Golden Gate Bridge into Marin County:

Next we were chilling in the beach town of Bolinas. We had a very minimal beach shack with a few chairs around. Enjoyed a couple of good days to Zen out….

 

Then off to Santa Cruz, our home from the 80s and 90s. Stayed with old friends John and Susie, hung out where we met at the Poet and Patriot Irish Pub, ate cioppino with Tim and Noel, walked the beach, chilled on the downtown mall. Cafe society continues there…
